Ayrshire Youth Theatre aims and objectives are: -
Ø To expand young people’s involvement in the arts through
Ø Increasing the number of young people in the youth theatre pursuing a career in the arts
Ø Increasing the number of young people pursuing courses outside the youth theatre
Ø Taking acting out to young people
Ø To expand young people’s knowledge of the arts through
Ø Increasing the opportunities for young people to perform
Ø To expand young people’s interest in the arts through
Ø Increasing the opportunities for young people to experience other area of the arts
Ø To develop the dramatic arts in Ayrshire through
Ø Performing recognised texts in a new and dynamic way
Ø Performing work to a new audience
Ø Developing links with Ayrshire arts infrastructure
Ø To develop support structures for all of the above through
Ø The development of a dynamic and professional empowered youth theatre
The future The greatest part of the consultation exercise is obviously what work and performances we shall be working on for the next three years. The following shall be undertaken
